1 Introduction
At IPTVV Ireland, accessible from iptvv.ie, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by IPTVV Ireland and how we use it.
If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us.
This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regard to the information that they shared and/or collect on IPTVV Ireland. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.
2 Consent
By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
3 Information We Collect
The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.
If you open a support ticket or email us, we receive whatever you put in it: your name, your email address, the contents of the message, and any attachments you choose to send.
We do not ask for a phone number anywhere on this site, and we do not collect one.
4 What we collect when you ask for a free trial
What the form asks for depends on your answers, and there are two separate reasons we hold any of it. The first is to actually set the trial up for you. The second is to stop the same household taking the trial over and over. They are listed separately below because they are not the same thing.
To set the trial up we collect: your name and your email address, which is how the account is made and where your login is sent; the device you intend to watch on; whether you already have a player app and which one it is; and, if you tell us you have IBO Player or IBO Player Pro, or that you are using a MAG box, the MAC address of that equipment and its device key where the app shows one. We ask for a MAC address only when we are going to load the playlist onto that device ourselves. Every other player app is set up by you from a link we email, and for those we never ask for a MAC. If you arrived from a pricing page we also record which plan you were looking at, so we do not have to ask you again.
The lawful basis for all of that is performance of a contract, or the steps you asked us to take before entering one. Without it there is no trial to give you.
To enforce our one-trial-per-household rule we separately record your IP address at the time of the request, a one-way fingerprint of your browser and device, and the page you arrived from. A free trial that can be taken repeatedly stops being viable, so the lawful basis here is our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and abuse. The fingerprint is stored as a hash, which lets us recognise a repeat request without holding any profile of you. You can object to this processing at any time using the contact details below.
We do not ask for a phone number and we do not collect one. Nothing in how we operate uses it, so holding one would be an unnecessary risk to you.
5 How long we keep it, and what happens then
If you go on to subscribe, your name, email address and device or MAC details are kept for as long as you are a customer, because they are what the service runs on.
If you take the trial and do not subscribe, all of it is deleted 90 days after the trial ends. That includes your name, your email address, your device and player answers, and any MAC address or device key you gave us.
Your IP address is kept for 90 days and is then deleted.
The device fingerprint hash is kept for 12 months and is then deleted.
The check against known disposable email providers happens at the moment you submit the form. Only the result matters, and nothing about that check is stored.
These deletions are automatic. They do not depend on anyone here remembering to run them.
6 Asking us to show you or delete your data
You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, and you can ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, or open a ticket, and we will action it.
If you ask us to delete your data while you are still a subscriber, be aware that we will no longer be able to run the service for you, because those account details are the service.
We may need to keep a minimal record of the deletion request itself, and anything we are separately required to retain for accounting purposes.
7 How We Use Your Information
We use what we collect to run the service and nothing else: to create and operate your account, to send you your login and anything else you need to get watching, to answer your tickets and emails, to keep the site working, and to find and prevent fraud.
We do not send marketing emails, and we do not share your details with partners for their own marketing. If that ever changes we will ask you first, and it will be a box you tick rather than one you untick.
8 Log Files
IPTVV Ireland follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. In ordinary browsing these are not linked to anything that identifies you personally, and the purpose is analysing trends and administering the site. The exception is the free trial form: when you submit it, your IP address and the page you arrived from are recorded against that request, for the anti-fraud reason set out above. That is the only place the two are connected.
9 Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, IPTVV Ireland uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.
